We are looking for an experienced procurement professional to join Edgewell Personal Care – a leading global FMCG Organisation (Our brands: Schick, Banana Boat, Bulldog, Hawaiian Tropic...just to name a few!).  This position is responsible for leading direct third party manufacturing and sourcing activities for Edgewell Personal Care divisions and affiliates.

• Lead and develop sourcing events and analyze the supply market
• Contribute to new supplier selection processes and supplier relationships management
• Establish and execute category strategies to support corporate objectives, and work in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to create breakthrough, strategic operational capabilities that drive business outcomes that can result in real marketplace differentiation and competitive advantage
• Manage internal stakeholders and external supplier relationship

Here’s a sample of the type of things you will be responsible for:

• Identifies all program level risks, issues and mitigation plans communicating / escalating all relevant items to the appropriate stakeholders
• Work with suppliers to ensure that existing services meet their service targets
• Be a driving force, inspiration and coordinator for continuous process improvements; help identify opportunities to increase efficiency and eliminate non-value add activities
• Interface with mid to upper level executives at the Edgewell Personal Care executive team level, including the group SVP and Asia Pacific management personnel to drive productivity.
• Develop and implement procurement category strategy, goals and savings targets in line with company strategy and procurement best-practices
• Oversees the development and execution of sourcing strategies including the setting of targets, timelines and resource plans while maximizing effect spend under management
• Manages, develops and leads negotiating and executing contracts and play a key role in managing the regional spend
• Manages strategic supplier relationship and engage suppliers for value creation and innovation
• Work with Global Procurement team to execute procurement initiatives

Ideally you will have 5+ years of managerial and leadership experience in direct procurement category management, particularly in personal care or chemicals product contract manufacturing management.  In this role, it is important that you can work autonomously, flexibly and collaboratively with individuals and teams.  Professional experience is important, but it’s paramount you share our values and belief in “challenge to win”.

In addition, it would be great if you have the following: 

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, technical field or equivalent experience
• Track record of consistent cost savings / CI contribution
• Demonstrated experience in internal stakeholders and supplier relationship management
• Knowledge of the procure to pay process
• In-depth knowledge and experience of strategic sourcing processes, organization, and technologies
• Highly self-motivated with the ability to drive change in a global organization with minimum supervision
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Ability to interface at all levels of the organization in different parts of the world
• Ability to lead and motivate teams
• Strong business acumen
• Strong Excel and database manipulation skills, financial and statistical analysis
• Proficiency in Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), SAP and Ariba
• Knowledge of relevant IT systems including; ERP, Spend Analytics and Contract Management
